Hotel Manager
February 2018
Practice and learning are encouraged, you can feel constant growth as an employee and as a member of society as well.
I was a CAD specialist in the manufacturing industry in a rural area for 10 years before I joined Cosmos Hotel Management, but I always wanted to be involved in the hotel industry since I was young, so I decided to move to Tokyo.
Cosmos Hotel Management's multinational staff and corporate philosophy of "providing people worldwide with the most enjoyable experiences" caught my attention, and I decided to join the company.
I worked as a Travel Partner for 2 years at MIMARU Tokyo Akasaka and MIMARU Tokyo Hatchobori.
Currently, I am the hotel manager of MIMARU Tokyo Ueno Okachimachi in the Taito Ward, and I am mainly in charge of training the staff for the hotel. When it comes to customer service, I find it particularly rewarding to make guests happy by providing them with information they can't find in a guide book, such as interesting stores with a long history in the area. When it comes to staff training, I am very proud that some staff I trained were able to become managers themselves.
MIMARU is a new type of hotel called an apartment hotel. Our superiors listen to workplace-related suggestions and ideas and support us through our challenges. Through this environment where practice and learning are encouraged, you can feel constant growth as an employee and as a member of society as well. In addition, the friendly staff members create a casual atmosphere where it's easy to talk about work-related and private topics as well, which is also a big appeal point.
